Summary
The Pegasus FTL shockwave from the blind jump made at the Scorpia Fleet Shipyards - while never used as a weapon in practice (as it is possibly a suicide mission), Razor shows what happens when a topline Battlestar trips their FTL at close-range to other ships and structures ... this would be similar to a nuclear aircraft carrier attempting to use its onboard reactor as a weapon while still keeping itself and the aircraft carrier intact and functional
Cain makes this tactic work not because it is a miracle or Deus-ex-machina, but because she is willing to risk anything necessary in battle to ensure her side the best possible outcome, even it is is a grim one
As Pegasus had only freed herself from her moorings moments before this jump was activated, the normal empty space Pegasus was designed to jump from was instead filled with igniting gas from Raider cannons, dock structures even larger than Pegasus herself and nuclear debris clouds from multiple Cylon nukes recently detonated on and around the docks - her normal FTL warpspace was anything but clear when they had to jump
When the Pegasus FTL was activated by Kendra Shaw on orders of Admiral Cain, none of the safety procedures or FTL prep Pegasus was designed for were possible - also, her FTL was spooled up much more rapidly then usual, effectively putting her FTL system at redline for the entire jump
