-it is assumed that Caine had personally designed many of the modular components of [[Pegasus]] and had used her considerable resources to have an abundance of topline technology and weapons installed on every available mounting surface
-Pegasus was known throughout the fleet as having so many cannons that she required two additional engines compared to her original class design and several decks worth of [[science lab]] space was fitted to house permanent cooling equipment for her forward ammo hoists alone
-To support the power requirements of these larger and more abundant cannons, slightly longer but more narrow and much more powerful main engines were mounted in the original cowlings - the result of this is that Pegasus is much faster than Galactica in straight sub-light speed, yet remains harder to control than Galactica when docking with smaller, slower ships or when flying in tight formation to anything but her own [[airgroup]] ... it would have required a lot of ferrying to get [[Ragnar]] empty if Pegasus had been there in Galacticas place
