Template:Deletion message

This is a warning message designed to be used on an uploader's talk page in order to notify them that their media file(s) are being considered for deletion due to policy.

Usage

Parameters

Required

• media: This is the type of media to be deleted.
  • Current selections are audio, image, and video. Should the field not be defined, it will default to "media".
• At least one media name.
  • The name should be in the format of Image:Image name.ext, regardless of whether or not it is an audio, image or video piece.

Inputable

Up to five different contributions may be defined in this template. Simply separate the media names by the pipe character, as in the usage example above.

Due to our video upload guidelines, the following content is being considered for deletion:

The reason for the deletion may be due to one or more of the following factors:

1. The video may not have information regarding its origins. (For example: Is it a screencap? Did it come from a publication? A website? And, if so, what's the website's address?)
2. The video may not have information regarding its copyright, therefore we don't know who owns it and it becomes a legal liability for the wiki.
3. The video may be inappropriate for use within the Battlestar Wiki network.
