Hello to you! Welcome to the Battlestar Wiki Media Tutorial. This tutorial is going to show you how to easily upload and tag images so everything can be properly documented. First off, if you are still new to mediawiki software and want to know more about how to use this software first, please visit the tutorial on the English Wiki for more information. This is a great place to start off for new wiki users.
Though this tutorial series is not very long, it will help you understand how to properly tag and classify the images or media files that you are uploading.
- Q: Why tag with our tags instead of using the all inclusive "fair use" text?
A: Because our tags, not only add all the needed copyright information for you, it gives the person viewing the media file on all dates and times of the episode broadcasted and release, time they can skip to so they can watch that particular moment, and the format type of the image. To see an exmaple of this "taging" in action, click here.
- Q: What is the point of taging media files?
A: Not only because of the above answer, but it also categories files that could help when looking for images via the category tree.
