Skipper barks up at the two Vipers as they leave Earth's atmosphere ^{(1980: "Galactica Discovers Earth, Part II")}.

Skipper is the name of Willie Griffin's faithful Otterhound dog.

While playing with Skipper in a nearby open field, Griffin happens across Troy and Dillon's Vipers ^{(1980: "Galactica Discovers Earth, Part I")}. Skipper later accompanies Griffin and his father, Walt, at night when showing his father the location of the Vipers. Upon returning to the location with a local sheriff, the Vipers are missing, but Skipper's barking alerts the Griffins to the fact that the ships are flying off, which the sheriff dismisses as explainable phenomena ^{(1980: "Galactica Discovers Earth, Part II")}.

Notes

• Skipper is not given his name in dialogue until the start of the first act in "Galactica Discovers Earth, Part II".
