Erikson is an officer aboard Galactica on active duty following Adama's Gambit.
He accompanies Colonel Tigh on the executive officer's inspection tour of Galactica's main engineering section, where they discover Boxey and Muffit.
After Tigh admonishes the child for playing in the hazardous section, Erikson remarks that it can't be much fun for the kid to play or grow up aboard a battlestar ((Comics: Classic Battlestar Galactica Vol. 2 #12)).
